Is it too late to sow any beetroot seed now?

I sowed some 2 weeks ago and they have germinated really well.
Maybe the beets will be smaller than usual but thought it was worth a go as the weather has been so unsettled.
They are the second row with the first sown much earlier.

If you don't get much in the way of beets you can still eat the tops as salad leaves.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
