and pots usually.... I assume it's been 'rescued'. It looks as if it's been crowded out by something else, hence the 'lean' and the bare front. A good soaking, and planted up in some fresh soil and it should hopefully recover. Although they like sun, let it have some light shade until it's starting to come back. Too much sun will be a bridge too far for it at this stage.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Olive was my first thought but couldn’t be too sure. We’ve got 2 olive trees in our garden so i think i’ll rescue this one and it can join the others! Thank you for the advice everyone
