What type of plum is this?

Hi guys,

I think we have a plum tree in our garden. Can anyone tell me what type it is and are they edible?

    Whatever variety they are they will be edible. The fruits with resin exuding from them have suffered insect attacks. If you cut one of those open you may find grubs inside so try an unaffected one for your taste test.

    Can still make wine from affected ones!
