Tomatoes.... What’s wrong with them?

Hi
Anyone know what’s wrong with my tomatoes?  I don’t think it’s BER as they are going brown from the top.  They were fine one day, then we had those few days of torrential rain and a couple of days later there were brown areas on the stems, now the fruit is going brown.  The leaves wilting and going brown but not dried.
I was vigilant with watering and had fed them.
Thanks

    It is tomato blight.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

Sorry to say it but it is probably blight. It has been a very bad year for it so far. All you can do is harvest any remaining clean fruit of a decent size for ripening indoors.

    agree, it's blight.
Dig them up and dispose of them ASAP, don't compost them

  • I originally thought it might be, but looked online and a website stated that there were no blight in the area, obviously I won’t be paying any attention to that site again. Is there any way to prevent it in future and to stop it from spreading, also should the soil in the growbags be disposed of. Thank you all x
