Best books/designers for small garden design?

  Anything by Cleve West would be good, or Sir Roy Strong. Both highly experienced.
  
  I have a book called Gardening in Small Spaces by Rachel de Thame, which is lovely, but it isn't really for cottagey gardens. Plants can always be adapted to suit a space though. 
  I should have said - the designs aren't hers - they're all by different, accomplished designers. 

  It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
