Help with identifying a plant please.

Can anyone please tell me what this is?  I dug it out of my daughter's garden in Devon.  We hadn't seen it before.  Its growing in a shady spot, an area which is neglected and waiting for some TLC, with weeds and rubbish piled on top.  Low growing creeping habit.  Thanks.

Could be one of the variegated honeysuckles looking for something to climb up?
