Nasturtium taking over!

This must be a happy plant. It's spreading horizontally and vertically. All from one little seed saved from last year. It didn't perform half as well last year.

I'd like some tips on how to stop aphids swarming onto them please...

I just wipe them off with  my hand  :)
They do tend to get quite rampant when in borders, but they also tend to have a lot of foliage rather than flowers if the soil's a bit too good  :)

Is that Milkmaid @lindylou54? I grow that one quite often.   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • @lindylou54 How I wish I had your plants. I love them but they do not do well for us even after so many years of trying to grow them and if one does....no seed.

Look under the leaves. Often, there's only a few. That's when to rub them off. If there are loads of them on the leaf or stem, it's just easier to cut it off and bin it. Nasturtiums are aphid magnets. If you want to grow them, you have to accept that.
Vegetable growers often grow them as sacrificial plants to attract the aphids away from their crop.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
