@Jack1974. I do hope we get to see them when they are all in place in your garden. Hope the weather allows you to do that as soon as possible.
Have googled Burncoose and am impressed. Slightly more expensive than most but worth the extra to get that service and quality.   :)
    Hi Fran,

Not sure I should show my planting, still quite a novice!!!

And yes, they are slightly more expensive than most, but for me I'd rather spend that bit more with the peace of mind that the plants are going to be quality.

And thank you for your kind words for the weather, I'll be putting them in whatever the weather I think! Although we're clay here in Whitstable, so quite a bit to navigate!

We visited Burncoose Nursery one year when we were in Cornwall ... we were very impressed ... a real plantsman/woman's nursery ... definitely nothing like a generic Garden Centre ... and all the staff we spoke to there seemed to really know their stuff.
    Hi Dove,

What a lovely thing to do while being away! I did notice while ordering they were based in Cornwall, I assumed they had a lovely set up there from how well everything comes across on line.

We were staying in a pretty cottage about half a mile down the road … I couldnt believe it when we drive past and saw the sign … the far drive into the gateway of its own volition. 😂
Thing is we had a lot of stuff to take home so I only bought a few plants … one was the gorgeous Hosta ‘Stained Glass’. 😎

Wild carrot is a biennial and is easy from seed.  It's flowering now in my meadow - very pretty - seeds available from several different wild flower specialists and from Chilterns Seeds.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

@Jack1974, I'd be particularly keen to see how you got on with the calamagrostis as that's one I've got in my basket with Burncoose. Or did your [NOT AVAILABLE] translate to you not having got it?

@Jack1974  Hi Jack, I'm sure your planting will be absolutely fine. The majority of us are novices in one way or another including myself and I'm sure I will still be one in years to come. If my planting looks good it would be by sheer accident. I am sorely tempted to place an order with Burncoose.  :)

It's really worth having enough time to wander around their woodland gardens, especially in late spring, i loved it, and will return...

Now I want to visit Burncoose!  Will have a wander around their website instead! (Still worrying about problem bed...)
