Anyone seen/ heard any grasshoppers this year?

    I'm surprised if I ever see  one here. When we had a hot summer a few years ago there was one  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • My lawn here is West Sussex is full of them, when I walk along they jump out like splashes of water! 
  • I heard one in my garden yesterday evening and we also spent a happy half hour spotting them in Epping Forest with my great niece and nephew a couple of weeks ago.

    Saw first one today on next door overgrown vacant allotment plot it jumped up as I wheeled my bike past.

    I'm thinking you see more in hot dry weather. We haven't seen much of that here. I hope miner are lurking somewhere

    All the grasshoppers and crickets are in my South London garden

    Maybe they're in my garden and I'm getting even deafer than I thought🤔
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • I've heard lots in my neighbour's garden in Sussex, and saw a few at my Mum's in West London the other day.
