    Spindle?
    Euonymus alatus?
    Devon.
  • Probably should have mentioned. It does not flower. I just wanted to know as it has destroyed my hedge by intertwining between it.

Almost all plants flower (ferns are an exception) so that must flower in some way at some time.
Can we see some leaves please?
And a photo of it actually growing too please, as the growth habit will aid identification.

  • Only you will know that at the moment I'm afraid.
Without further info on your hedge, the ground, how big the questionable bush is, whether it has twined right thru and along your hedge, etc., it's anyone's guess really.
A bit more info and a pic of the bush in situ will enable people to advise with more accuracy :)

    I agree with Hostafan.

    It is Euonymus.
If in a hedge then probably Euonymus europaeus...common name spindle.
The flowers are tiny and easily missed.
    Check for seed capsules.
The autumn colour should be fab.
