What is this white flowering plant?

It’s lovely and fragrant and probably getting leaned on by the shrubby rose behind it. How do I take care of it and is it annual or perennial? Thanks

    I think it's a phlox as well  :)

    It’s definitely phlox. I have that one and also a pink one …..forget that ones name. They come up every year like clockwork, really lovely plants .

    Phlox paniculata David is a common one.

    Thank you all. I’ll have to clear a bit of space in the border around it as it’s getting crushed by the rose which I’m using to make rose water. The phlox smells lovely. I don’t know how I got it, another lovely surprise.

    They're very easy to divide in Spring too and quickly form a good size clump.
    Mine have done really well this year - they must like this awful weather

    thanks, I was wondering how to propagate it but I’ll probably end up forgetting it until it reflowers again!

    A couple of other white phlox varieties are Fujiyama and White Admiral. I've had both in the past and can't really tell the difference.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Dark green leaves and white “flowers” are the most typical characteristics of these plants. The flower is actually a specialised leaf bract that grows hooded over the blossoms, as most people believe. Peace lilies, like many other popular indoor plants, like medium to low light.

    I think phlox flowers are flowers. Not sure what you are talking about.

    I see you run a nursery in USA.
    However, I think you are getting very confused.
    You are talking about   Spathiphyllum or Peace lily.see 1st pic below
    It is indeed as you describe and in UK is a  common houseplant.
    it is very different from the mystery flower asked about on 9th August  by Ilikeplants   at the start of this thread....which is Phlox paniculata. see  2nd pic below
