plant identification please!

this has sprung up in a shady area in my garden.very strong leaves that are sharp to touch.theres about 3 seperate plants.they look Palm like? and are having little babies all over the place..sorry it's the wrong side up!!

    Carex pendula.  An invasive weed to most gardeners.  If you like the foliage, just make sure to cut off the flower heads before they go to seed.

    I don't think it is in the first pic, but maybe it's just the photo. The seedlings look like it without doubt. 
    There's also a lot of willowherb there too- every bit as invasive so I'd take those out too. The one with the pink flower in the first pic, but it looks like there's more in the 2nd pic too. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
