We were given an oak in a pot from a friend who had grown it from seed some years ago. He was concerned that it shouldn't remain in the pot but he didn't have the grounds to plant it out.
So we did.
It is now growing very nicely and he can see how his seedling has started to look more like a tree.
Trees shouldn't be in pots but then, like our friend, maybe many people don't have a choice but would still like to grow them.
