Tree Problem

Hello, we have a tree we planted around 15 years ago. This year it has developed mottled effect on the bark and the leaves do not look healthy. can you identify the issue and recommend a treatment.

    I can only see lichens, which are not a problem but do indicate slow growth.  I think we need to identify the species of tree to give any sort of diagnosis as to why it isn't growing well.

    Agree with Bob - I can only see lichen on the bark - supposedly it denotes  unpolluted air but that could be a myth.
