What are these (bulbs)?

We've just dug these up, in our new garden. I assume they're bulbs of some sort, but I'm not sure what kind. The larger ones are about 4cm across.

    Bluebells, I think.

The fat ones look like hyacinth to me, light-coloured/white ones (darker ones have a purple-ish colour to the outside coating of the bulbs). But they're related to bluebells I think, so either is possible.
