Salvia Pruning Help!!

Hello!

I have a Salvia 'deep blue' that has just finished flowering. I'd like to prune it but not sure how or when to do this. Will it flower again?

I also have what I think was labelled as a Campanula (purple flowers)? What do I do with this pruning wise?

Thanks in advance  :)

Cut off all the flowered stems. I would do this with shears for the salvia then new stems should grow and flower. You can see them starting below the dead flowers.

The campanula looks like Campanula Glomerata, it may not flower again though, but I would cut the stems off anyway.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Thanks for the reply.

How far down do I need to cut on them both please?

    To the main green growth.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
