Yellow leaves on Indoor Orchid

I have over-watered my indoor orchid and have two yellow leaves as a result. Should I leave them on the plant or take them off?

I take any yellow or brown leaves off mine
Are you sure you over watered it?
  • The yellow leaves can be just signs of age and/or being too close to direct sunlight. What orchid is it?

It’s a moth orchid, phalaenopsis. Yours looks lovely. Is it still in the pot it was purchased/grown in,? Usually see through with bark like pieces as the planting material?
If that’s the case the way I water mine is to put it in a larger bowl and fill the bowl with water until it’s level with the top of the compost and leave to soak for say 30 mins then lift it out and let it drain. Mine are on a west facing window sill ie no strong sun, I water when I remember …about every 7-10 days. In summer they get the occasional dunk in some plant food water. Mine thrive on neglect.
Every now and again a bottom leaf yellows and I just cut it away.
