There isn’t a white verbena bonariensis. How about a white thalictrum delavayi?

No... there's a V. hastata 'Alba', but it's not quite the same thing:

And Sanguisorba tenuifolia 'Alba' is tall, see through and floaty in a similar way to V. bonariensis, not as long-flowering though:

I have bought one of these but didn’t do much this year hopefully it will establish for next year.

Maybe some of the valerians (V. officinalis, V. phu) might look a bit Verbena bonariensis-ish?

A tall white yarrow / achillea might get close.

Is it just a tall, white perennial plant for a sunny spot you want?
I'd say @Loxley's suggestions are closest [especially the Valerian] but  some of the Veronicas or Veronicastrums would be good too.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hi thanks for that I’ll take a look - just after a tall bobbly white floaty type plant.  The thalictrum Alba might be the one. Fairygirl said:

Gaura would look nice in that position.
