Zonal pelargonium petals

Hi, does anyone know if you can use the petals of zonal pelargoniums in the bath at all?

    I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t. It won’t bring any benefits, apart from a cheerful splash of colour. The leaves of rose scented pelargoniums might work better.

    Thank you for the advice. I’ve been reading lots about the scented pelargoniums so might have to try growing some of those as well.  I think the leaves of the zonal ones are probably better for scent than the petals (it’s a nostalgic thing from when I was a child) but I couldn’t find anything out about them from looking online or in my aromatherapy books!

    The essential oil is mostly extracted from a rose scented pelargonium called graveolens. It’s worth growing a scented leaf one, I find the smell irresistible. Very good placed where you can gently brush against it. It’s probably what cats think about catnip.

    So many wonderful scented ones, from apple and cinnamon to rose, oak and lemon. Really worthwhile having a few if you can protect them in the winter.

    Seems like quite a lot are good for eating too!
