They are the most beautiful plant. So elegant in the garden and flowering for months now. They make great cut flowers too.   I have albums - one in the ground and one in a pot - both with about the same amount of growth at the same height. It will be interesting to see if the one in the ground is able to return next year. Fingers crossed.

Silver Surfer - yours is the exact one I was after - is that the delavayi? The lady in the garden centre rang me and said they only had ONE 'Thalictrum' and it was white so wondering if it is an album. Please can I have yours? It is STUNNING!! :D I know this sounds really dumb but I'm not confident at deadheading - how far down the stem do I go? Thanks for your pics.

Pete, thanks for that link - it does look like mine is the album - the white one.  Unless, as Pitter Patter says the card might have bleached out ... I hope so but none of the other ink has been affected, I really wanted the purple.

Why do you think yours is the white one?
There's more than one white variety too.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

The label shows a white plant, partially, at least.

Yes - but unless the label is completely wrong, that variety isn't white.
I think @pitter-patter is correct re the fading.
I've had T. delavayi Album in a couple of gardens, which is a lovely plant.  :)

The pics in earlier reply are Thalictrum aquilegiifolium.
When I dead headed it I cut the flowering stems slightly lower than the top leaves.

Thalictrum delaveyi has different flowers .....see pics below.
It also comes in white Thalictrum delaveyi album.
    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .
