I have sown tomato seeds today. Hope it's not too late. Last year, I had blight; so was reluctant to grow them this year, but gave up resisting. Fingers crossed for a blight free season.

I haven't sown mine yet,  but will do it this week in all probability.  So many peple got caught out last year with cold wet April and May. As always its not sowing and germinating,  but having warm enough space to move them into after that's the real problem.

If you like Passandra @Perki you might like Beth Alpha,  another mini cucumber with good flavour and prolific. I find the Beth germinated better.
thanks I'll keep them in mind for next year  .

I've only just sown mine. They stay undercover anyway, but as @Allotment Boy says, it's having the space undercover once they're growing on individually, that matters. They can't go out until temps and conditions are suitable, so there's plenty of time if sowing now @Eustace, and yours would probably have caught up with mine in a week or two, so it's no problem :)

My dear old dad will be turning in his grave. 3 pkt of seed at £4.49 each 2with 12 seeds, 1 with 10. I have only sown 1/2 of them in each case, they had better all germinate! Hoping the rest remain viable till next year. This blight resistant lark is a racket☹

This is true, which is why I never sow until about 1 March.  Mine are now at the stage where I move them out to the cold frame in the mornings and bring them back to the house in the late afternoon; it's tedious but it works for me.  They will move to the unheated greenhouse at night usually in late April.

@Allotment Boy  They should if you keep them in airtight containers away from the light.

Sowed Sweet Aperitif and Sweet Million far to early and they've been really 'lazy' in growing. Think I'll have another go with them, I just need 2/3 plants each.

It's another story with Honeycomb, the seeds germinated in days and they've already overtaken the first two varieties.

I've got quite a few lessons to learn before next year.
