    I have a rather nice one growing out of the mortar in a brick wall, buddleia style.
    "What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour".

    @B3...you're quite right. I had an area full of what looked like weeds, until they grew a bit, then realised they were VB seedlings.

    Mine grow in the gaps in the brick path which goes all round the garden but if I transplant them they are never seen again.

    None of mine made it through winter, as is often the case, but I didn't take cuttings as the previous two winters had been very benign here, and I got complacent.  :/
    Fortunately, I should have a few for next year as a few seedlings have made it with the help of the doormat in the gravel path. 
    Just to be sure, think I'll bring those indoors - the greenhouse isn't always warm enough either. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Im trying VB for the first time this year, came in a plug selection.  Ill watch out for self seeding. Is it not very hardy either?

    They don't always survive here where I am @JessicaS, hence the cuttings, but it may be fine where you are.  :)
