Tree growing in Portugal.

Hi - Plant ID pls, it's growing in Portugal, near Faro, it has beautiful red flowers and black curly seed pods - and is it Hardy?

    Take a look at the Cockspur Coral Tree, Erythrina Crista-Galli. Checking on the internet, it would seem to be a frost tender plant.

    Well, there you are @DAN WILSON !! Your project is to create a colourful area with native trees and shrubs that grow and are acclimatised to the UK climate with English trees/shrubs - and I am sure there are many.
    A good hoeing is worth two waterings.
