I leave mine in the pots then divide and and re-pot in the spring.

I also left them outside last winter on an exposed veg patch when we had temps down to -6c and they're all in full flower now!
(I'm not keen on them and thought I could blame the weather if they all died, but they didn't)
I'll try again this winter :)

  • I kept mine in a cold frame so as to offer some frost protection and to control how much water they got. Depends on size if they'll be ready to divide...but who doesn't like free plants 😂

It’s up to you if you lift them now or not. I never do ,just bung them somewhere out of the way and they come back every year. Have done for ages. I grow in pots .
  • Ok thanks for the advice I will leave them in the pots and put them in my unheated greenhouse

I left a few in the ground with a mulch last year and they’ve all come back. Slower to start and you need to keep on top slugs-snails in the early stages but saves a job leaving them in place.
