I am looking to buy two varieties of narcissus that will be in flower late January and early May.
Ideas appreciated. Thanks.

My Narcissus poeticus var Recurvus was in flower in May. I don't have any that flower in January, though obviously it depends on the weather. My Narcissus pseudonarcissus flowered in mid-February.

Take a look at specialist suppliers - Peter Nyssen, Avon etc. for a guide to times and also loads of varieties.
I have several which flower in May - N. albus plenus odoratus is one, but everything's later here so that isn't always relevant. Your location is a big factor with timing. :)

You could probably force some of the miniature ones indoors in pots for January, like hyacinths, not sure how you would time it precisely though.
