    I use mine as a lever rather than a whacker. This  is perfectly safr.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I moved my mattock today to get the lawnmower out but I didn’t use it. 

    I wanted to but it wasn’t a digging, levering day. 

    Hopefully tomorrow…..

    I carry my mini mattock in the loops on my gardening apron, but I’m 70 and female! Wouldn’t recommend it to a younger male. Probably as dangerous as those films where people carry guns tucked into their waistbands. Always looked very unwise.
