Can anyone tell me what this is please? Appeared from nowhere - Sussex.

    Euphorbia lathyris. Common name caper spurge.
    White sap toxic wear gloves.
    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .

    It's a weed.  Be careful when you pull it up as the milky sap can be harmful if you get it on bare skin which is exposed to sunlight.

  • We have it in the garden and use it as a sculpture type plant.
    Yes it seeds very well but we cut it back or pull it up before hand.
    As others have said be very aware of the sap and never touch without gloves or touch your eyes if you have been in contact with it.

    @muppet1901. Sorry to confuse you about the photo. It wasn't there when I first read your post but it must be my laptop playing up and taking longer to download.  :)
