Question about my Rudbeckias

    Yes - I think it's just a bit early for them in their first year. By mid August they could be covered   :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    The plugs should flower but I don’t think the seeds will.  As a previous poster said, she sowed hers last year and they’re just flowering now.

    One month on, to answer my own question, they're now all on on the brink of flowering. But hopefully they'll come back taller and stronger next year. Good lesson on spacing. These were planted 45cm apart which felt way too sparse at the time but now looks almost too crowded.

    Interestingly, echinacea I sowed (a little later) and planted elsewhere is nowhere near flowering. One to look forward to next year.
