Moving bulbs

Can I remove and replace bulbs that say they can stay in the ground.year after year.. sorry if silly question..am a newbie gardener

Anything that is reliably perennial can stay in situ, or you can lift them and pot them up, or put them somewhere else. It's just a guide, as said.
Some are trickier, and either don't return reliably, or return with a reduced display. Some tulips and the little reticulata Irises for example.
I can understand that you might think you can't lift or move them because of the general info. The biggest challenge is often getting them out without sticking a fork or spade through them!
Not that I've ever done that of course......
