Moving bulbs

Can I remove and replace bulbs that say they can stay in the ground.year after year.. sorry if silly question..am a newbie gardener

    You can do whatever you want to do with them. It just means that they can stay in the ground …..if you want them to .There are some bulbs that can’t you see . It’s just a guide to tell you what is possible for the bulb.

    Anything that is reliably perennial can stay in situ, or you can lift them and pot them up, or put them somewhere else. It's just a guide, as said.  :)
    Some are trickier, and either don't return reliably, or return with  a reduced display. Some tulips and the little reticulata Irises for example.

    I can understand that you might think you can't lift or move them because of the general info. The biggest challenge is often getting them out without sticking a fork or spade through them! 
    Not that I've ever done that of course...... ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
