Any ideas what these are?

Would be great full if anyone could tell me what these are. I’m about to renovate my Grans garden and want to be sure before I remove anything.

    First one is a bramble, don't cut it but dig it out. Every shoot that touches the ground will root. Don't know what the second is.

    The first one with thorns is a bramble. I suspect it's not a cultivated blackberry.

    The second photo looks like a dogwood, possibly Cornus alba, though the stems are not very red.

    I have no idea where the bramble came from. There used to be a tree that I cut down. But the stems are very long and sharp.

    Birds drop seeds. A bird could have sat in the tree and dropped a blackberry or dropped seeds from an eaten one from its other end.

    Brambles come in from outside, or a neighbouring garden, and if you're near a hedgerow they'll be full of them.  :)

    I think the other is a Cornus too. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I can only see one photo on this thread. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just my laptop that is causing this to happen?

    I see two.
    The second could be a cornus but it is not like mine. I say mine but it's my neighbours suckers😡

    Any recommendations on gloves to handle brambles. I've already got done a few times  :D

    @Amin.R I have a big pair of thick cloth work gloves, similar to these in style (but mine are not leather, it looks like a brushed cloth)
    I use them for picking up pyracantha trimmings or pulling out those jaggy weeds. The thorns will still go through the gloves so I can't grip them too tightly - it's just for holding on to pull them away for disposal.

    Leather welder 's gauntlets are good.
