How tall would dahlias grow?

My dahlia is growing so tall I can't even reach the top anymore ( I'm 1.65m tall ), is that normal?

If that's too tall, next year you could pinch out the top of the plant earlier in the year which will make it shorter but a lot bushier
PS - I should say there are many other varieties that grow to about .5m and all sizes in between
