Black Russian Tomato Plant
in Fruit & veg
I was given a plant a little while ago and it's gone mad. I have three lovely big toms growing but the plant itself is growing outward so much so that the pot falls over. How do I prune it back please?

You don't say where you have it or in what size container. You need to remove any side shoots and just allow the main stem to produce the flowering trusses.
If you don't have any kind of support in place but you have large fruits on the bottom, the plant will automatically start to keel over.
As you say big, then at this stage of the season pinch off most of the growing tips, as a beef tom only produces a few fruit, and keep the ones growing in the right direction, it will need a pot of at least 12inch/ 30cm , canes to hold it up and take the weight.
