I’m pretty sure it’s a female tree. The fruit does fall but all I’m left with is dried out, sometimes mouldy seeds lying on the grass. I’ll take a pic of them when I get a chance.
My thought is that unless there’s a male tree in the neighbourhood, mature enough to produce pollen, then yours won’t be pollinated, which is perhaps why the seeds are disappointing …

It is a magnificent example indeed. So often they can look out of place but that one really works with the architecture of that house and it has enough space too. And it does look very healthy … not always the case, sadly.
