Spots on buddleia?

Hi everyone,

My buddleia plant is looking very droopy and sorry for itself. Some flowers have started to come out now, but the leaves have gone a yellow patchy colour and there are black spots underneath a lot of the leaves too.

Any ideas on what’s wrong and how I can help it please? Thank you :)

It looks thirsty to me?  I'd give it three buckets of water today, and then two buckets full twice a week from now until the end of September ... even tho we've had some heavy rains, quite often the roots of plants are shaded from the rainfall and get much less than we realise.

Is it in the ground? If it's in a pot, water will certainly be the biggest factor.
They're hard to kill, so it's unlikely to be a major problem. Even tough shrubs which enjoy sunny sites and free draining soil can struggle in long hot spells, and buddleias are no different, especially if there's a lot of other planting around it.
Watering is key just now, and it will drop those leaves, but will have plenty more.  :)
