Hi @odette2PxYbbKh - do you mean pelargoniums? Geraniums are pretty indestructible.
If you have a photo, someone will hopefully be able to advise though. Most moths are harmless. Some forum members are very good at IDing them too, and can advise as to whether they're causing the problem, or if it's something else.

Any extra info you can give will help too- where are they growing, whereabouts you are [roughly] climate etc.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Dear Fairygirl... many thanks for your prompt reply :-)....  had to check out difference between geranium and perlagoniums  !... pls see image ... it's the pink one in all its glory.  i get full sun all morning.... hot climate and mild winters. in this country (Malta) they live outside very happily all year round.  Up until 5 yrs ago we never had any problems but then this blasted moth appeared.  it burrows a hole into the stem and literally hollows out the entire thick stem.  (my stella maris fared a lot better) . it loves the blue plumbago too but doesn't seem to have damaged it.
