No new leaf growth on Lemon tree

Hello.
over the last year or so my Lemon tree has really struggled with leaf growth.
it’s producing plenty of Lemons but very little foliage.
I potted it up last month based on advice received on here and been feeding regularly with a lemon feed.
is it that I shouldn’t expect to see new growth now until next spring or is it something I’m missing.

can anyone help please?

    You need to switch to a high nitrogen feed for leafy plants during the summer then go back to citrus feed in autumn.   Check other threads on lemon problems for the reasons.
