Strange Knautia

Gary_L67Gary_L67 Posts: 14
I bought Knautia Macedonica Melton Pastels which I grew successfully but this is what has come up they are very dark and hardly pastel. They are very indeed but does anyone know what variety it is.
Thanks

looks like Scabious chile black, which, in my humble opinion, is much nicer than melton pastels which are often a bit wishy washy

Scabious  Black Knight. Same family but have crossed along the way!

One of the above. I grow them from seed, but they don't seem to survive the winter here.

I’ve had my Knautia for many years, just the big standard wine red colour, Scabious don’t survive the winter though.
