Excuse the probably stupid question. How do I know when my white currants are ready to pick?

They change colour from green through white to transparent pale yellow, fattening up as they go From your pic. I would say yours need another week or two..gjautos said:

Thanks @Joyce Goldenlily I'll keep an eye on them. I've just started growing fruit so no idea what I'm doing!

Pick them now before the blackbirds get them.

Well I have today picked the 3rd lot of redcurrants from our 2nd plant. I wash them and then put them in doors in the sun and they do ripen a bit.

To me it is worth doing so that at least we get some of them before the blackbirds!
