Sunbelieveable Brown Eyed Girl Sunflower

In the photos advertising the above it shows masses of lovely sunflowers and lush green leave and stalks.
Having been impressed I purchased online from a recognised nursery and was looking forward to a display as shown in all the photos.
Having checked what size pot to put into I potted into a mixture of peat free compost and John Innes No 1.
Unfortunately, my plant has hardly any sunflowers which are not as expected and the rest of the plant looks as though it is almost going to waste away.
In an endeavour to remedy and hopefully give the plant a boost, over the past couple of months I have added Miracle Grow and also tried Tomorite.
Has anyone else experienced this or is there anyone who can help save my plant?
