Lithodorna advice

fizzylizfizzyliz Posts: 398
Hi, this lithodorna plant has lots of dead foliage, it literally just snaps off… however there is nes green leaves growing on the stuff that snaps off… should I pull off all the dead bits with no new growth on and leave the rest? Or leave it all and give a dunk in water until air bubbles appear like I was advised with some lavender? Or something else? Thank you 😊

  • I had a similar problem with two plants that a moved from my late mums garden few years ago. Initially I had them planted in a trough on the top of a wall in full sun hoping that they would cascade over the wall. They did flower a little but never really flourished so this year I dug them up, cut off much of the dead foliage and replanted them in a border with dappled shade. Give them a good drink and mulched with a deep layer of ericaceous compost. This is them on the 5th June 2021! They have finished flowering now but they look very lush, I'm going to have a go at taking cuttings for my siblings.
