Cabbage white

Just sprayed the ·bacillus thuringiensis on the brassicas as the cabbage whites have just started flying. Seen a couple under the netting- can’t fathom how the fit in!

They can (and will) squeeze through netting holes larger than about 7mm.  Very persistent and fly round and round my brassica netting, often settling on it and seeing if they can walk their way in!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

I dusted my grapes with sulphur this morning and threw a dash over my brassicas just for luck.  No cabbage whites so far!  Can't be as easy as that - surely?!!
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Haven’t heard of sulphur working on butterfly caterpillars
