So I can add this to my scabious family and also look for knautia when I go to the GC on Saturday.

    Thanks, all.

You can also get seed for Knautia (both the red and the pastel pinks), and they self-sow exuberantly.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

I moved them the other night.

They are very happy in their new home.

Looks great — keep deadheading; mine (Butterfly Blue and Flutter Rose Pink) kept flowering until December last year

The standard knautia macedonia is dark red as @Lyn said. The melton pastels are pink - as already said by @JennyJ.
