Mulberry

Can anyone please help to identify what type of mulberry I have grown. Thank you.The fruits are all scattered under the tree, with plenty of help from the blackbirds.🙂

  • It looks like a black mulberry, Morus nigra. There are several cultivars but straight Morus nigra is widely planted so it's probably that. The blackbirds are leaving you with all the unripe fruit.

Thankyou @rachelQrtJHBjb . I grew this from seed from a mixed packet of tree seed from Chiltern Seeds. :)

When did you sow them?  I have some morus nigra babies in their 3rd year and looking bonny but nowhere near fruiting.

@Obelixx probably over 20 years ago it has been fruiting for several years. Will try and take a photo later. :)
