What is eating my Laburnum?

I have a young Laburnum tree and it has been stripped bare and I I don't know what the cause is? Could it be caterpillars..I haven't seen any sign of them. The surrounding plants are all untouched.

    Do you have woodpigeons around your garden … they like your gardening tree leaves.
