Clematis with black spot

My clematis is looking great, sadly finished flowering already, however it's been getting more and more black spots. Is this treatable or will I need to cut right back before treating new growth. Have several roses in the garden but when I see any lack spot on them I cut off the effected bits. What treatment should I get for the roses and can/should this also be used on the clematis? Thank you
