Seeds from hybrid cosmos

Can anyone clarify if seeds from hybrids simply won't germinate, or will they just produce different types of cosmos?
Thanks.

No reason why they shouldn't germinate, but the resulting plants are unlikely to be the same as the parent plant.
You may get a pleasant surprise, or you may be a bit disappointed :)
