Is this a weed?

ren.bren.b Posts: 164
This plant is quite prolific - it had tiny blue flowers thin stems, it's even growing in the gaps at the top of my dry stone wall raised bed so am assuming it is a weed but hoping someone can confirm - managed to find one remaining flower for a photo.

thanks Loraine/bcpathome - Speedwell it is .... didn't know the rule about calling a 'weed' a weed lol ... I don't even know the definition of a weed to be honest, is it something you didn't plant?
It's strangling some other plants, should I just pull it out by the root?

Ohh apparently it's considered a good luck charm for travellers ... bees like it too, might just tidy it up for now - let the flowers come next year for the bees.

The definition of a weed is "a plant in the wrong place" as far as l know  :)
If the bees like it, it can't  be all bad. Just keep an eye on it and pull out any sections that are threatening to take over.

I'm hoping to put more wildlife friendly plants in so I won't feel so bad pulling it out .. with regards to the 'garden police' - do you mean these two?  They turn up out of nowhere if I'm out there with a spade in hand .... don't be fooled by their cute appearance - there is a taser in that rucksack!
