Plant ID (again!)

Hiya,

In my excitement at having a garden to fill with plants I may have bought a few and shoved them in without cataloguing what they are....

Any ideas here?

I seem to have bought and planted five of them:

RHS says it's invasive *sigh*

I normally research that before purchasing. I wonder if they were already here (I left a few in when I removed the gravel and membrane to see what they were).

Anyone had any experience of it and is it a b*gger?

Yup, it’s a bugger, but, it’s easy to dig out and not deep rooted. Just keep it where you want it and when it strays, dig it out.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that it might be Campanula "Dickson's Gold", going by the leaf colour. If it is, it's not so spready. Keep an eye on it, and be ready to hoik out if it makes a bid for world domination. Example picture https://www.jparkers.co.uk/campanula-dicksons-gold-collection-1

Hmmmm @JennyJ

This makes it even more interesting. Dickson's Gold says late spring/early summer for flowering and the "posch" one June to November.

As it's just started flowering would we err towards "posch"?

I don't know which it is, but it's definitely the one I have in my garden - it does spread, but not uncontrollably. In fact it's useful for filling awkward places where more fussy plants wither and die (I have shallow 'pockets' in my pathway and the campanula and majoram are the only 100% reliable plants to put it them!) Good luck with it!
