Kniphofia’s last chance!
in Plants
I have a large kniphofia which blooms every year without trouble, but I also have some smaller yellow kniphofias which have been in the garden for 3 years and ne’er a flower have I seen! I’ve split one and replanted it last year, but no flowers to date! They all seem to double in size each year with plenty of leaves and no obvious problems so this is their last year, they may be destined for the compost heap! I have sandy, free draining soil and they are all in full sun which I thought would be perfect for them, I wondered if anyone had ideas on how to make them flower.
