The greenhouse debate

I'm reading up on the pros and cons of glass v. polycarb greenhouses, but love to have thoughts/opinions from actual users.

I have a Rhino Premium with toughened glass that was installed about 5 years ago - I'm thrilled with it.
I've never had a polycarb greenhouse.

It really comes down to what sort of budget you have.

I would say glass, if you’re  in a windy area the poly panels pop out for pastime.

The only cons of glass over plastic is that glass is more easily cracked. I'd say replacing a few panes of glass now and then is still cheaper than replacing all the plastic once it gets too scratched and faded to be useful. Plastic is probably better suited to someone who doesn't have plants that need a lot of light and might have to move the greenhouse a few times. Now that I have two young boys though I'm going to have to find some way to protect the glass from impacts.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

If your budget stretches to it, toughened glass. I dropped a pane when installing onto concrete and it didn’t break. Means I don’t worry about kids playing near it.
